Rangers D Redden injured in loss
Dec 5, 2008 - 4:47 AM MONTREAL (Ticker) -- New York Rangers defenseman Wade Redden was injured in the second period of Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens and did not return to the game.Redden suffered a lower body injury less than four minutes into the middle session. The 31-year-old posted a minus-2 rating in 8 minutes, 36 seconds of ice time before departing.
Signed to a six-year, $39 million contract this past summer after spending the first 11 seasons of his career with the Ottawa Senators, Redden has recorded two goals, 10 assists and 18 penalty minutes in 29 games this campaign.
