Isles recall RW Comeau
Dec 6, 2008 - 11:26 PM UNIONDALE, New York (Ticker) -- The New York Islanders added a reinforcement for their game against the Atlanta Thrashers on Saturday, recalling right wing Blake Comeau from Bridgeport of the American Hockey League.The 22-year-old Comeau has recorded four goals and 15 assists in 19 games with the Sound Tigers this season. A second-round pick in 2004, the native of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan has notched eight tallies and 15 points in 54 career contests with the Islanders.
New York also assigned left wing Jeff Tambellini to Bridgeport for conditioning purposes.
Tambellini, 24, has appeared in 23 games with the Islanders this campaign, notching two assists and 12 penalty minutes.
Drafted 27th overall by Los Angeles in 2003, Tambellini was acquired in a four-player trade in March 2006. The native of Calgary and son of former Islander Steve Tambellini has collected four goals and 15 assists in 102 career games with the Kings and Islanders.
