Bruins recall C Sobotka
Dec 9, 2008 - 11:49 PM BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Bruins on Tuesday recalled center Vladimir Sobotka from Providence of the American Hockey League.The 21-year-old Sobotka appeared in five games with the Bruins earlier this season, posting a minus-2 rating without recording a point. A fourth-round pick in 2005, the 5-10, 183-pounder has registered 10 goals and 11 assists in 17 contests with Providence in 2008-09.
A native of Trebic, Czech Republic, Sobotka made his NHL debut with Boston last campaign, notching one goal and six assists in 48 games.
