Senators D Volchenkov leaves game
Dec 24, 2008 - 5:20 AM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Ottawa Senators defenseman Anton Volchenkov left Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers in the first minute of the opening period with an undisclosed injury.Volchenkov was injured after he extended his body to block a shot and slid into the end boards.
The 26-year-old remained on the ice for several minutes before being assisted to the locker room. He did not return to the contest.
