Islanders G DiPietro out vs. Rangers
Dec 29, 2008 - 11:59 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- New York Islanders goaltender Rick DiPietro will miss Monday's game against the New York Rangers as he continues to nurse a groin injury.Joey MacDonald is expected to start and Yann Danis will serve as the backup.
After missing 27 games with a knee injury, DiPietro made 28 saves in his return to the ice on Friday in a 4-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The 27-year-old is 1-2-0 with a 3.03 goals-against average and .906 save percentage this season.
