Stars place Lundqvist, Brunnstrom on IR

Dec 30, 2008 - 9:30 PM FRISCO, Texas (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars on Tuesday placed center Joel Lundqvist and left wing Fabian Brunnstrom on injured reserve.

Lundqvist, 26, has been sidelined since December 18 with a shoulder injury. The twin brother of New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, he has three assists in 10 games this season.

Brunnstrom, 23, suffered a lower-body injury in Saturday's 4-3 win over Anaheim. The rookie has 10 goals and four assists in 31 games this season.
