Canucks acquire G LaBarbera from Kings

Dec 31, 2008 - 3:47 AM VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Ticker) -- The Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday acquired goaltender Jason LaBarbera from the Los Angeles Kings for a seventh-round pick in the 2009 draft.

LaBarbera notched a 5-8-4 record with two shutouts, a 2.83 goals-against average and an .893 save percentage in 19 games this season.

Drafted in the third round - 66th overall - by the New York Rangers in 1998, the 28-year-old LaBarbera has posted a 34-42-8 career mark with a 3.00 GAA and .901 save percentage with the Rangers and Kings.
