Canadiens LW Tanguay leaves game
Dec 31, 2008 - 5:26 AM TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- Montreal Canadiens left wing Alex Tanguay left Tuesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first period with an undisclosed injury.The 29-year-old Tanguay exited after being checked into the boards by Tampa Bay's Evgeny Artyukhin. Tanguay's status was not immediately known.
A native of St. Justine, Quebec, Tanguay has 10 goals and 16 assists in 34 games this season. He has collected 187 goals and 378 assists in 642 contests over his nine-year career with the Colorado Avalanche, Calgary Flames and Canadiens.
