Flames assign C Sutter to Quad City

Jan 2, 2009 - 4:31 PM CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Calgary Flames on Friday assigned center Brett Sutter to Quad City of the American Hockey League.

Sutter played in three games for the Flames during his call-up, tallying his first career NHL goal on December 23 in a 4-3 victory against Anaheim.

A sixth-round pick in the 2005 draft, Sutter has one goal and six assists in 28 games for Quad City this season.

He is the son of Flames general manager Darryl Sutter.
