Sabres send C Gerbe to AHL
Jan 3, 2009 - 12:24 AM BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- The Buffalo Sabres on Friday assigned center Nathan Gerbe to Portland of the American Hockey League.Gerbe, 21, made his NHL debut on December 6 at Tampa Bay. He notched one assist in six games with the Sabres.
A fifth-round pick in 2005, Gerbe also missed six contests after suffering an upper body injury on December 13 at New Jersey.
