Flames assign LW Sutter to Quad City

Jan 3, 2009 - 12:20 AM CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Calgary Flames on Friday assigned left wing Brett Sutter to Quad City of the American Hockey League.

Sutter appeared in three games for the Flames, scoring his first career goal on December 23 in a 4-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks.

A sixth-round pick in the 2005 draft, Sutter has recorded one goal and six assists in 28 games for Quad City this season.

The 21-year-old is the son of Flames general manager Darryl Sutter.
