Hurricanes summon RW Dwyer from minors
Jan 4, 2009 - 1:08 AM TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- The Carolina Hurricanes recalled right wing Patrick Dwyer from Albany of the American Hockey League on Saturday.The 25-year-old Dwyer made his NHL debut with the Hurricanes earlier this season, recording one goal and a minus-2 rating in 12 games. A native of Spokane, Washington, he also has registered seven tallies and 10 assists in 25 contests with the River Rats.
A fourth-round pick of Atlanta in 2002, the 5-11, 175-pound Dwyer was signed by Carolina as a free agent in July 2006.
