Ducks recall LW Miller

Jan 4, 2009 - 1:15 AM ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- With Corey Perry banned for the team's next four games, the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday recalled left wing Drew Miller from Iowa of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the sixth round of the 2003 draft, Miller made his regular-season debut in the league last campaign, recording two goals and three assists in 26 games. The 24-year-old native of Dover, New Jersey got his first taste of the NHL during the Ducks' run to the Stanley Cup in 2007, notching two penalty minutes in three postseason contests - including Games One and Two of the Finals against Ottawa.

This season, Miller - the brother of Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller - has registered a team-leading 16 goals and 11 assists in 34 games with Iowa.

Perry was handed a four-game suspension by the league on Saturday for elbowing Philadelphia's Claude Giroux in Friday's 5-4 overtime loss.
