Senators D Volchenkov injured
Jan 4, 2009 - 7:47 AM TORONTO (Ticker) -- Ottawa Senators defenseman Anton Volchenkov left Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the third period with an apparent shoulder injury.Volchenkov suffered the injury when he was checked into the boards behind his own net by nik Antropov with 12 minutes remaining in the third. He did not return.
The 26-year-old Russian had recorded two goals, one assist and 22 penalty minutes in 31 games this season.
