Canucks D Ohlund to play vs. Stars

Jan 5, 2009 - 12:20 AM VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Ticker) -- After missing the final 20 minutes of Friday's game, Vancouver Canucks defenseman Mattias Ohlund declared himself ready to go for Sunday's contest against the Dallas Stars.

"I played most of the game, I just missed the last 20 minutes but I feel good now," Ohlund said. "I'm ready to play."

The blue-liner logged nearly 14 minutes of ice time against the Atlanta Thrashers before leaving with an upper body injury.

Ohlund, who has three goals and 10 assists in 40 games this season, is ready to face the rugged Stars.

"Every time we play them, they're a tough team so it's going to no different tonight," said Ohlund, who has a goal and 16 assists in 32 career games against the Stars.
