EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- Andrew Cogliano scored to snap a tie midway through the third period as the Edmonton Oilers handed the New York Islanders their 13th consecutive road loss by rallying to a 3-2 triumph.

Defenseman Jason Strudwick netted his first tally of the season, Kyle Brodziak scored and Dwayne Roloson finished with 25 saves for Edmonton, which improved to 5-2-0 in its last seven games.

Rookie Kyle Okposo and Blake Comeau scored and Joey MacDonald turned aside 23 shots for New York, which fell to 0-12-1 away from the Nassau Coliseum since a 4-3 shootout win over the Montreal Canadiens on November 24.

With the game tied at 2-2 at 9:58 of the third period, Marc Pouliot unleashed a shot from the high slot which MacDonald denied, but the puck settled right on the doorstep. Cogliano skated in and tapped it past the netminder for his 12th goal of the season and second in as many games.

NY RANGERS 4, PITTSBURGH 0

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Henrik Lundqvist turned aside all 27 shots he faced and defenseman Paul Mara, Nigel Dawes and captain Chris Drury recorded a goal and an assist apiece as the New York Rangers notched a 4-0 triumph over the Pittsburgh Penguins in a battle of Atlantic Division rivals.

Scott Gomez also tallied and defenseman Michal Rozsival had two assists for New York, which is 2-3-1 in its last six games.

Marc-Andre Fleury finished with 22 saves for Pittsburgh, which has lost a season-high five games in a row.
