Blues LW Kariya undergoes surgery
Jan 6, 2009 - 11:09 PM ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- St. Louis Blues left wing Paul Kariya underwent successful surgery on his left hip Tuesday.The surgery was performed by Dr. Marc Philippon and will sideline the 14-year veteran indefinitely.
Kariya has been out of action since recording an assist in a 5-2 loss to Anaheim on November 5. In 11 contests during his second season with St. Louis, he has registered two goals and 13 assists.
