Stars send D Vishnevskiy to minors
Jan 7, 2009 - 12:10 AM DALLAS (Ticker) -- Ivan Vishnevskiy will have to wait a while to make his NHL debut.The 20-year-old defenseman on Tuesday was assigned to Peoria of the American Hockey League by the Dallas Stars after spending nearly a week with the team without appearing in a game.
Drafted 27th overall in 2006, Vishnevskiy was recalled on Wednesday but was a healthy scratch for three contests. The 5-11, 176-pound native of Barnaul, Russia has appeared in 32 games for the Rivermen this season, notching three goals and nine assists.
