Maple Leafs D Schenn, C Deveaux return vs. Panthers
Jan 7, 2009 - 1:33 AM TORONTO (Ticker) -- Two rookies returned to action for the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.Defenseman Luke Schenn and center Andre Deveaux rejoined the Maple Leafs for their matchup with the Florida Panthers at the Air Canada Centre.
After missing 12 games with a knee injury, the 19-year-old Schenn returned to action for the first time since December 6. The fifth overall pick of last June's draft, Schenn has recorded two assists and 26 penalty minutes in 27 contests.
The first person born in the Bahamas to play in the NHL, Deveaux returned to the ice after missing three games with a foot injury.
The 25-year-old Deveaux has notched one assist in 15 contests with the Maple Leafs.
