Predators recall C Santorelli, sign D Sulzer

Jan 8, 2009 - 11:59 PM NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Nashville Predators made a pair of moves Thursday, recalling center Mike Santorelli from Milwaukee of the American Hockey League and signing defenseman Alexander Sulzer to a two-year, $1.3 million contract.

A sixth-round pick in 2004, Santorelli has yet to make his NHL debut. The 23-year-old native of Vancouver has recorded 13 goals and a team-leading 41 points in 35 games with Milwaukee this season.

The 24-year-old Sulzer, who represented his native Germany at the 2006 Winter Olympics, will make $600,000 in 2009-10 and $700,000 the following season.

Selected in the third round of the 2003 draft, the 6-1, 196-pound Sulzer has registered seven goals and 22 assists in 35 contests with the Admirals this campaign.
