Rangers D Rozsival leaves game

Jan 10, 2009 - 7:37 AM BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- New York Rangers defenseman Michal Rozsival left Friday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Buffalo Sabres 5 1/2 minutes into the third period with a head injury and did not return.

Rozsival was checked by Paul Gaustad nearly the Sabres' bench as the door was opening for a line change. Rozsival smacked his face on the edge of the boards and immediately went to the locker room under his own power.

Rozsival, who received two stitches, expects to play against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.

The 30-year-old Rozsival has collected seven goals and 21 points in 42 games this season.
