Islanders without D Campoli, RW Hunter

Jan 19, 2009 - 7:05 PM UNIONDALE, New York (Ticker) -- The hits just keep coming for the New York Islanders, who will be without defenseman Chris Campoli and right wing Trent Hunter for Monday's game against the Southeast Division-leading Washington Capitals.

Campoli is listed as day-to-day after suffering a strained groin in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils and Hunter is out indefinitely after cutting his left hand during Sunday's practice.

Prior to Monday's contest, the Islanders recalled defenseman Jack Hillen and center Kurtis McClean from Bridgeport of the American Hockey League.

McClean will be making his NHL debut, while Hillen played in six games with the Islanders earlier this season.

New York, which is saddled with the NHL's worst record, enters Monday's contest with a seven-game losing streak. The Islanders have yet to win in 2009.
