Sabres D Tallinder leaves game
Jan 22, 2009 - 4:43 AM TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- Buffalo Sabres defenseman Henrik Tallinder left Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning in the second period with a shoulder injury and did not return. The 30-year-old was whistled for a tripping penalty with 38 seconds remaining in the session and injured himself on the play. Tallinder saw 10 minutes, 14 seconds of action before skating off the ice in obvious pain.
"He's not good," Ruff said. "He's got a shoulder injury, and we'll probably get him back to Buffalo to be looked at. But he's going to be out for a good period of time."

Selected in the second round of the 1997 draft, Tallinder has amassed 16 goals and 66 assists in 363 contests over his seven-year career with Buffalo.
