Predators RW Tootoo injured in loss to Flames

Jan 31, 2009 - 6:23 AM CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- Nashville Predators right wing Jordin Tootoo left Friday's 3-1 loss to the Calgary Flames in the second period with an undisclosed injury and did not return.

The 25-year-old Tootoo logged 7 minutes, 15 seconds of ice time and served a five-minute penalty for fighting Calgary's Todd Bertuzzi in the middle session.

A native of Churchill, Manitoba, Tootoo has recorded four goals and six assists in 45 games this season.

Selected in the fourth round of the 2001 draft, Tootoo has collected 26 tallies and 55 points in 277 contests over his five-year career with the Predators.
