Thrashers activate D Exelby
Feb 2, 2009 - 11:50 PM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Thrashers on Monday activated defenseman Garnet Exelby from injured reserve and placed center Jim Slater on IR.Exelby has been sidelined for the last 21 games due to a leg injury. He had four assists in 30 games prior to getting hurt.
Slater suffered a shoulder injury against Montreal on January 20. The former first-round pick has scored five goals with nine assists in 46 games this season.
