Senators RW Neil injured
Feb 8, 2009 - 6:17 AM OTTAWA (Ticker) -- Ottawa Senators right wing Chris Neil left Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Buffalo Sabres after two periods with a lower body injury and did not return.Neil appeared to get slashed in the leg at the end of the second session and hurried off the ice and back to the locker room. The 29-year-old posted a plus-1 rating in 11 minutes, 12 seconds of ice time before departing.
A sixth-round pick in 1998, the 6-1, 212-pound native of Markdale, Ontario has recorded two goals, four assists and a team-leading 127 penalty minutes in 44 games this season.
