Islanders RW Hunter out 2-4 weeks
Dec 5, 2006 - 5:17 PM UNIONDALE, New York (Ticker) -- The New York Islanders beat local rival the New York Rangers on Sunday but lost right wing Trent Hunter in the process.The Islanders announced Tuesday that Hunter suffered a sprained knee in the 7-4 triumph and will miss two to four weeks.
A Calder Trophy finalist in 2003-04, Hunter has four goals and two assists in 26 games this season.
In a related move, the Islanders recalled center Jeremy Colliton from Bridgeport of the American Hockey League. He has scored in four straight games with the Sound Tigers.
