Thrashers recall LW LaVallee, assign RW Motzko
Feb 12, 2009 - 10:56 PM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Thrashers made a pair of moves Thursday, recalling left wing Jordan LaVallee from the Chicago Wolves while assigning right wing Joe Motzko to the American Hockey League club.LaVallee, 22, made his NHL debut last season with the Thrashers, scoring his first goal against Florida on April 1 while also adding an assist in two games overall. In 51 contests with the Wolves this season, the 6-3, 220-pound native of Corvallis, Oregon has recorded 15 tallies and 23 points.
The 28-year-old Motzko registered one goal in six games with Atlanta after being recalled from Chicago on January 30. The 6-foot, 184-pounder from Bemidji, Minnesota has collected 24 tallies and 19 assists in 47 contests with the Wolves this campaign.
