Predators RW Belak returns vs. Blues

Feb 13, 2009 - 5:45 AM NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- After a five-game absence, Nashville Predators right wing Wade Belak returned to the lineup in Thursday's 4-3 shootout victory over the St. Louis Blues.

The 32-year-old, who was sidelined with a shoulder injury, had last played in a 2-1 triumph over the Edmonton Oilers on February 1. On Thursday, Belak registered five penalty minutes in 3 minutes, 46 seconds of action.

A native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Belak has recorded one assist and 64 penalty minutes in 41 games this season.

Selected 12th overall by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1994 draft, Belak has collected eight goals, 30 points and 1,172 penalty minutes in 483 contests with the Colorado Avalanche, Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers and Predators over his 12-year career.
