Blackhawks C Sharp out 2-3 weeks
Feb 17, 2009 - 12:10 AM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Chicago Blackhawks center Patrick Sharp is expected to miss two to three weeks after suffering a lower body injury during Saturday's 6-2 victory over the Dallas Stars.Sharp was injured just 39 seconds into the contest after being on the receiving end of a check by Dallas' Steve Ott. Sharp left the ice and did not put much weight on his left foot while retreating to the dressing room.
He did not return to the contest.
The team leader in goals with 23, Sharp also has recorded 15 assists in 54 games this season.
