Senators RW Alfredsson returns after facial injury
Feb 18, 2009 - 5:43 AM DENVER (Ticker) -- Ottawa Senators right wing Daniel Alfredsson left Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Colorado Avalanche in the third period with a facial injury, but promptly returned.The Senators' captain was hit in the face with a puck at 8:20 of the session and remained in the team's locker room for several minutes before returning to the bench.
Alfredsson has recorded 17 goals and 35 assists in 55 games this season.
A native of Gothenburg, Sweden, the 36-year-old has amassed 348 tallies and 899 points in 908 contests over his 13-year career with Ottawa.
