Bruins recall C Sobotka, place Nokelainen on IR
Feb 28, 2009 - 12:16 AM BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Bruins on Friday recalled center Vladimir Sobotka from Providence of the American Hockey League.The 21-year-old Czech had been demoted to the minors on Tuesday. He has recorded one goal and three assists in 23 games with Boston this season.
In a corresponding move, the Bruins placed center Petteri Nokelainen on injured reserve.
Nokelainen, 23, has been sidelined since February 10 with an eye ailment. The Finn has collected three assists and 10 penalty minutes in 33 contests with Boston this season.
