Bruins acquire D Montador from Ducks
Mar 4, 2009 - 6:08 PM BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Bruins made an addition along the blue line Wednesday.The Bruins acquired defenseman Steve Montador from the Anaheim Ducks for center Petteri Nokelainen.
Montador, 29, recorded four goals and 16 assists in 65 games with the Ducks this season. A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Montador has collected 18 goals and 49 points in 355 career games with the Calgary Flames and Florida Panthers.
Nokelainen, 23, registered three assists in 33 contests with the Bruins this season. The 16th overall pick of the 2004 draft, the Finn has amassed eight goals and seven assists in 105 career games.
