Stars sign C Sutherby to two-year contract
Mar 9, 2009 - 7:56 PM FRISCO, Texas (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars on Monday signed center Brian Sutherby to a two-year contract worth $1.63 million.Sutherby, 27, has eight goals and seven assists in 50 combined games this season with the Stars and Anaheim Ducks, who traded the veteran to Dallas on December 14.
"Brian has been a solid performer for us this season, and has added some toughness, size and grit to our lineup, while also possessing an underrated offensive game," Stars co-general manager Les Jackson said. "We look forward to his continued development with our team the next two seasons."
