Predators activate C Arnott

Dec 15, 2006 - 2:19 AM NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Already standing atop the Central Division, the Nashville Predators got even stronger Thursday, when they activated center Jason Arnott from injured reserve.

The 6-4, 220-pound Arnott suffered a knee injury in a 3-1 victory over Columbus on November 20 and missed the next 11 games. In 19 contests this season, his first with Nashville, he has recorded seven goals and nine assists.

Drafted seventh overall by Edmonton in 1993, Arnott has collected 283 tallies and 377 assists in 843 career games with the Oilers, New Jersey Devils, Dallas Stars and Predators. The 32-year-old was an All-Star in 1997 and netted the series-clinching goal in the Stanley Cup Finals for New Jersey in 2000.

Nashville entered Thursday's game against Ottawa with 41 points, three more than second-place Detroit in the Central.
