Busch grabs pole for Nationwide race at Darlington
Apr 11, 2014 - 10:19 PM Darlington, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyle Busch will start on the pole for Friday night's 200-mile Nationwide Series race at Darlington Raceway after edging rookie Chase Elliott in qualifying.Elliott, who won his first Nationwide race one week ago at Texas, held the provisional pole with a lap at 173.448 mph until Busch made his second of two laps at 173.681 mph during the final round of qualifying.
Busch started on the pole and won last year's Nationwide race at Darlington. Elliott enters this event as the points leader.
Matt Kenseth qualified third, followed by Kevin Harvick and Ty Dillon, who's also a rookie in the series this year.
