Musgrave parts ways with HT Motorsports

Sep 20, 2008 - 6:06 PM LAS VEGAS (Ticker) - Veteran NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Ted Musgrave is suddenly without a ride.

The 2005 series champion and Jim Harris, owner of the No. 59 Team ASE/HT Motorsports Toyota Tundra, mutually agreed to immediately part company, the team announced Saturday.

Stacy Compton will replace Musgrave for Saturday's Qwik Liner Las Vegas 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

"Stacy Compton will drive the No. 59 for tonight's race in Las Vegas," said HT Motorsports team manager Donny Vaden. "We will evaluate our options once we get back home and make an announcement on our driver or drivers for the rest of the season then."

Musgrave was 13th in points at the time of his leaving the team, having posted six top 10's through the first 18 races with a best finish of sixth at the season-opening race at Daytona. Through 191 starts in the NCTS, Musgrave has 17 wins.
