Bakkal scores twice in PSV's 4-3 win over Ajax

Aug 16, 2009 - 5:10 PM AMSTERDAM(AP) -- Otman Bakkal scored two goals on Sunday to help PSV Eindhoven twice come from behind to beat Ajax 4-3 in the Dutch league.

Ajax took the lead in the second minute when Luis Suarez hammered in a diagonal shot from the edge of the area after goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson had failed to control Carlos Salcido's back pass.

Balazs Dzsudzsak equalized for PSV in the 36th with a left-footed free kick, but Ajax regained the lead a minute later when Suarez found the net for a second time from Demy de Zeeuw's free kick.

Bakkal leveled in the 50th following a cross by Dzsudzsak, who curled in a free kick three minutes later to give PSV a 3-2 lead.

Urby Emanuelson made it 3-3 in the 56th, firing home a first-time shot from 25 meters (yards) after he was played in by Suarez.

Bakkal then netted the winner in the 74th minute to give new PSV coach Fred Rutten his first win of the season.

"It was a fantastic match for us," PSV midfielder Ibrahim Afellay said. "We were punished for conceding two easy goals, but with the right mentality we managed to rally."

FC Twente, which won 1-0 at ADO The Hague on Saturday, is top of the standings on goal difference and one of four clubs with seven points from three games.

Feyenoord joined the quartet, which also includes FC Utrecht and NAC Breda, after beating Heracles Almelo 1-0 with a goal from Jon Dahl Tomasson.

Ajax has six points, as does defending champion AZ Alkmaar following a 6-0 victory over RKC Waalwijk. PSV has five points.

Mads Junker scored Roda JC's winner in a 1-0 victory over NEC Nijmegen while Japan midfielder Keisuke Honda made one and scored the other to earn VVV-Venlo a 2-2 draw at FC Utrecht.

Honda supplied the pass for Sandro Calabro to open the scoring in the third minute and then got the 78th equalizer after Dries Mertens had scored twice for Utrecht.

NAC needed goals by Edwin de Graaf and Kees Kwakman to beat FC Groningen 2-1. Koen van de Laak scored Groningen's goal.

SC Heerenveen won for the first time this season, beating Vitesse Arnhem 1-0 on Saturday while Sparta Rotterdam also secured its first win by beating Willem II 2-1.
