Leverkusen draws 1-1 against Dortmund
Oct 23, 2009 - 8:58 PM FRANKFURT(AP) -- Bundesliga leader Bayer Leverkusen rallied through defender Manuel Friedrich's goal to earn a 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund on Friday.Friedrich rose above Dortmund's defense to head in after a corner by Tranquillo Barnetta. Lucas Barrios had used Dortmund's first opportunity to put the visiting team ahead with a header off Nelson Valdez's cross in the eighth minute.
The outcome leaves Leverkusen one point ahead in the standings but either Hamburger SV or Schalke could jump to the front with a win in their showdown on Sunday.
Leverkusen has 22 points, Hamburg 21 and Schalke 19.
