Denmark's Nielsen goes to Kansas City Wizards
Feb 11, 2010 - 11:51 AM COPENHAGEN(AP) -- Danish goalie Jimmy Nielsen says he is joining Kansas City Wizards on a one-year contract.Nielsen's team Vejle Boldklub said in a statement Thursday that Nielsen needs to undergo a medical check before switching to the Major League Soccer team.
The Danish club didn't disclose financial details of the transfer.
The 32-year-old Nielsen joined Vejle Boldklub in January 2008 from Leicester City.
Last year, Vejle Boldklub was relegated from Denmark's top league and is now eighth in the first division.
No one has shouted yet.
