LONDON (SE) - Manchester United captain Gary Neville is targeting another thumping win and fine individual performance at home to Fulham on Sunday \2013 to help him gatecrash England's World Cup squad.

Neville, 35, starred in United#s midweek 4-0 mauling of AC Milan in the Champions League, delivering a telling cross for Wayne Rooney's headed opener.

The marauding showing from the veteran right-back even had the Old Trafford faithful cautiously mentioning 85-cap Neville as an unlikely contender for England's right-back berth.

While Neville admitted domestic and European success with his club was the priority, he refused to rule out a return to international duty.

Neville said: "I have not retired from international football - I always said I never would.

"I am playing for United and would play for my country. It has not happened for two to three years and I am not holding out for a call but if it happens it happens.

"England is out of my hands. I am just trying to play well for United \2013 where that takes me, who knows?

"I am really focusing on trying to win as many games with United, we've got a race on for the league, and we've got the Champions League.

"We have got a lot to look forward to in these next couple of months, starting with Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday. The league games are really important now and we have to focus on them."

Michael Carrick is expected to come straight back into the United side at the expense of Paul Scholes, while Ryan Giggs and Wes Brown will both definitely miss out.

Fulham's ex-Manchester United midfielder Jonathan Greening is backing the West Londoners to spring a surprise and upset his former club's title charge.

Greening, who left United nine years ago after coming through the club's youth system, has fond memories of returning to Old Trafford \2013 helping former club West Brom eke out a 1-1 draw in 2005 to kick-start their dramatic survival bid.

Greening said: "Every time you go to Old Trafford it is going to be difficult because they are the best team in the world in my eyes.

"You just hope everyone puts in a shift and is at the top of their game. If we do that, we can spring a shock.

"I have always done OK whenever I have gone back and hopefully that will continue.

"I also remember having one of my better games for United - against Fulham of all teams - in the FA Cup 11 years ago. Hopefully I can have another good one for Fulham this time."

The Cottagers' United States forward Clint Dempsey is poised to make his first league appearance for two months after returning from a knee injury against Juventus on Thursday, but skipper Danny Murphy is a doubt with a groin problem.
