Winter woes for Denmark as rain stops training
Jun 15, 2010 - 12:20 PM JOHANNESBURG(AP) -- Denmark has canceled a training session because of rain at its team camp in Knysna. The Danish federation says a two-day downpour has left its training ground soaked. The players were supposed to practice outdoors Tuesday morning, but worked out in a gym instead.
The winter weather is also creating other problems for the Danes.
While the squad returned to Knysna after Monday's 2-0 loss to the Netherlands in Johannesburg, a truck carrying the team's uniforms was held back by snow that closed a mountain pass.
The federation says the truck was expected to arrive Tuesday afternoon after a 12-hour delay.
No one has shouted yet.
