Barca's Alves out of Copa del Rey final
May 16, 2012 - 3:43 PM Barcelona, Spain (Sports Network) - Barcelona revealed on Wednesday that defender Dani Alves will miss the Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao after breaking his collarbone in training.The 29-year-old suffered the injury on Wednesday, and after undergoing tests, it was determined that he will require surgery.
Alves appeared in 33 La Liga contests for Barca this season, but the May 25 final against Bilbao will come too soon for the Brazilian to take part.
The match also marks the final game for Pep Guardiola as Barcelona manager.
