Chievo ends Roma's Champions League hopes
May 7, 2013 - 9:12 PM Roma, Italy (Sports Network) - Roma's hopes of climbing up to the final Champions League qualification spot have been dashed after suffering a 1-0 loss to Chievo at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday.The two sides appeared to be heading for a scoreless draw until Cyril Thereau popped up with the game-winner on the stroke of 90 minutes.
The result leaves Roma on 58 points for the season, seven points back of third-place AC Milan with two league matches to play.
Chievo climbs to 43 points to move up to 12th place in Italy's top flight.
