Draxler signs Schalke extension
May 10, 2013 - 4:27 PM Gelsenkirchen, Germany (Sports Network) - Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler committed his future to the club on Friday by signing a contract extension that ties him to the Royal Blues until 2018.The 19-year-old began his career with the club at the age of seven, and after making his debut in January 2011, Draxler has gone on to become the youngest player in club history to make 100 appearances.
Draxler has attracted interest from a number of clubs, but Schalke has confirmed his future rests in Gelsenkirchen.
In his international career, Draxler has earned four caps for Germany since making his debut in May 2012.
