New England waives Nyassi
May 16, 2013 - 5:59 PM Foxborough, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Revolution announced Thursday that the club has waived midfielder Sainey Nyassi."We want to wish Sainey all the best as he moves into the next stage of his career," Revs General Manager Michael Burns said. "Sainey was always a professional in his time with us and we wish him well."
Nyassi, 24, made 104 regular-season appearances for the Revolution, including 75 starts upon signing with the club in 2007. He managed to record eight goals and four assists during that time.
