Houston's Boswell suspended one additional game
May 22, 2013 - 9:52 PM New York, NY (Sports Network) - The MLS Disciplinary Committee handed Houston Dynamo defender Bobby Boswell an additional one-game suspension and fined him an undisclosed amount for violent conduct against New England Revolution forward Dimitry Imbongo. The incident took place in the 39th minute of the match on Saturday when Boswell received a red card for a head butt on Imbongo, who was also sent off during the altercation.
Boswell was already going to miss this Sunday's match at Sporting Kansas City after being sent off. But the Disciplinary Committee saw fit to add another game to the suspension because of what it claimed was an egregious act on the part of Boswell, who now misses the June 1 match at Columbus as well.
