Dutt announced as new Bremen boss
May 27, 2013 - 6:48 PM Bremen, Germany (Sports Network) - Werder Bremen announced on Monday that the club has appointed Robin Dutt as manager after he was released from his contract with the German football federation.Dutt coached at Bayer Leverkusen and Freiburg before taking up the post of sporting director at the German federation (DFB).
Former manager Thomas Schaaf was let go at the end of the season after Bremen finished just three points above the relegation places. And on Monday, Dutt was released from his contract with the DFB, allowing him to sign a three-year contract with Bremen.
"With Robin Dutt we have signed our first-choice candidate for the coaching job. We are convinced we can shape a successful new beginning with him," Bremen general manager Thomas Eichin said.
