Werder Bremen signs Makiadi from Freiburg
May 31, 2013 - 5:02 PM Bremen, Germany (Sports Network) - Werder Bremen announced Friday that the club has signed midfielder Cedrick Makiadi from Freiburg.Makiadi joins Bremen on a three-year deal, becoming the fifth player to leave Freiburg after the club narrowly missed out on a Champions League spot for next term.
"He is a very interesting, very solid player, who can play in several positions," said Bremen's sporting director Thomas Eichin. "He has developed well at Freiburg and has the maturity which we need."
Makiadi has played in the German league since 2004, logging a total of 177 Bundesliga appearances during his time with Freiburg and Wolfsburg.
