Blaszczykowski signs new Dortmund deal
Jun 3, 2013 - 7:32 PM Dortmund, Germany (Sports Network) - Borussia Dortmund winger Jakub Blaszczykowski has committed his future to the club by signing a new five-year contract on Monday.The Poland international netted 11 Bundesliga goals this past season and appeared in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich last month.
Blaszczykowski has been with Dortmund since 2006 and has appeared in 168 Bundesliga matches.
"When my contract expires, I will be able to look back on over a decade with BVB," Blaszczykowski said. "Such periods of time really are not common in professional football nowadays.
"It makes me very, very proud that a big club like Borussia Dortmund have shown such faith in me and plan with me in the long term. I have long since felt this is my second home."
